The Hay Literary Festival
Since 2023 The Hay Literary Festival established one of their annual international forums in Sevilla.
This year we hosted the closing of the forum at my home in Carmona where I cooked a celebratory brunch.
I created a menu inspired by events and themes of discussion during the forum using ingredients from my garden cooked over woodfire in my outdoor kitchen. It was a beautiful spring day and everyone lay about the garden while hosts and guest speakers including celebrated director Stephen Frears, Tim Rice, Carolyn Michelle and economist Ha-Joon Chang, were invited to read a poem of their own or someone else’s in its original version.

Desde 2023, el Hay Festival de Literatura ha establecido uno de sus foros internacionales anuales en Sevilla.
Este año acogimos el cierre del foro en mi casa en Carmona, donde preparé un brunch de celebración.
Creé un menú inspirado en los eventos y temas discutidos durante el foro, utilizando ingredientes de mi huerto cocinados a fuego de leña en mi cocina al aire libre. Fue un hermoso día de primavera, y todos se relajaron en el jardín mientras los anfitriones y ponentes invitados, incluyendo al reconocido director Stephen Frears, Tim Rice, Carolyn Michelle y el economista Ha-Joon Chang, leyeron un poema propio o de otro autor en su versión original.
